Filevine and Resolutn Integration Workflow for Law Firm Users
1. Activating Filevine Integration with Resolutn:
- The integration begins with generating Client Id, Client Secret and Personal Access Token (PAT) from Filevine’s Developer Portal. As a law firm admin, you can generate a new Personal Access Token specifically for this integration.
- Steps in the Developer Portal:
- Log in to your Filevine account, click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard, and select Manage My Account to access the Filevine Developer Portal.
- Navigate to the Personal Access Token tab in the Filevine Account Manager and verify that the Personal Access Token has the required permissions, specifically the Filevine API Access scope. Additionally, ensure that the Client ID and Client Secret are generated from the Client Secret tab, as they are essential for comprehensive access.
- Securely copy the Client ID, Client Secret, and Personal Access Token. These credentials will be shared with Resolutn through a secure medium, such as encrypted email or a secure communication tool.
2. Providing API Credentials to Resolutn:
- Once the credentials are obtained, share them with the Resolutn team or the designated administrator using a secure method. These credentials are essential for connecting Filevine with Resolutn and enabling document exchange.
3. Resolutn Admin Configuration:
- Resolutn’s admin team will securely configure the provided Filevine API credentials within Resolutn’s system and store it into the database (using encryption methods) through the Resolutn admin dashboard.
- Once this setup is complete, Resolutn is now connected to your Filevine account and ready for further configuration.
4. Invitation to Filevine Org Admin:
- After the credentials are configured, the Resolutn admin will invite the Filevine Org Admin to join the Resolutn platform. The invitation will guide the org admin to create their account in Resolutn.
5. Setting Up Custom Action in Filevine to create Claim:
